From what I read/heard, the long barrel rifle exception for 16 or 17 year olds in WI applies if they are compliant with the statute that describes how to obtain a hunting permit. Not that they HAVE (or are in the process of attempting to procure) a hunting permit. (Which is probably what the legislators meant, but

No reason to actually go there, but yeah. Both of the deceased’s families are arguably better off without them.

From what I remember when looking into this during his trial:

He’s legal now. He paid for it. His “Friend” was holding it for him until he turned 18 which (obviously) happened. Since everybody agrees that was the case, it’s probably legally binding. Cash up front with a ~5 month delay of delivery.

Committing a homicide isn’t a crime. So yes, he was found innocent.

Last I checked, it was Republicans who passed the CARES act in 2020. Which he got the funds from because he was furloughed from his job at the YMCA (I assume lifeguard?) due to COVID. The shooting happened late Summer, so I’m not sure how much difference there would be between full time job and part time. YMCA

He’s over 18 now. It’s perfectly legal for him to own it.  Though whether or not his friend is gonna “continue” with letting him have the gun now that he’s 18...

Should that be true with all things that cause a death or only guns? Car destroyed because somebody on a moped ran a stop light and you hit ‘em killing them with no damage to your car?

In a video of the incident shared to social media, the driver of the car can be heard shouting to ask if Yorgey is OK before she replies saying she’s fine.

Boss holds meeting to discuss the buyout.

I forget.

Why the frack are you taking a test if you have the sniffles? Are you that big of a hypochondriac? Do you really have to *know* just precisely what you’re sick with before you take the same measures you should be taking regardless of what it is?

This. SOOO much this. VERY few people actually need tests. Particularly when, realistically, your behavior if you get sick should largely be the same regardless of whether or not that COVID test comes back positive. If you’re sick you should be staying the frack home and isolating regardless of whether it’s a cold or

It’s like the TP situation all over again, people are hoarding things they don’t need from people who legitimately DO need them, and in this case it’s mostly because of a totally avoidable vacation or social event they might attend...

that even vaccinated folks are also susceptible to the current mutation.

I’m talking about people bitching about CAT EARS in a video game being “overpriced” when they appear to be priced EXACTLY as they should be based on how many people bought them.

Eh

To be “fair”. If the point is to pass a test and not actually learn things, (e.g. much of what school nowadays is), then massive studying right before the test makes a whole lot more sense than long drawn out studying, as the latter gives you plenty of time to forget stuff that the former doesn’t.

Hot take.

I’ve never really understood why people are so darn invested in wanting/needing testing. Is it some sort of frightened/hypochondriac prove to themselves they don’t really have it?
