Eh, then there’s me, who is largely of the opinion that, by and large, kids shouldn’t have special protections. Kids are perfectly well aware of what is right and what is wrong WAY before the age of 18. They just tend to think the rules don’t apply to them/they won’t get caught...

My guess is a lot of victimless crime rationalization. As long as she wasn’t doing anything (obviously) harmful with the information she was accessing, (using test scores to determine which potential boyfriend would be the best trig tutor as opposed to using them to bully underperforming students) nobody cared.

unlawful use of a two-way communications device

Minor point, you’ve explained that the people are essentially hostile towards Taiwan because the powers that be have brainwashed them to be. But that doesn’t really explain why the powers that be have done said brainwashing.  Which I think goes largely back to what the other poster said.

1. Hong Kong, of course, is NOT a separate country. U.K.’s lease ran out and they returned it.

The problem then becomes, though, as folks get older they can start unlearning what they have learned to unlearn, and thus revert back to being (or at least appearing) racist. Particularly when it comes to language patterns. (hence the at least appearing qualifier)

So, you’re really claiming there Aren’t Black/Asian/Native/Hispanic folks that don’t believe a particular racial group is inferior to others?

No, I mean he’s making the assumption they were the ones to contact her after she turned 18. There’s no reason to believe they were sitting around waiting for her to turn 18, as they were clearly waist deep in other women. Seems likely she was the one to re-establish contact.

Not to mention no random bright person would have the incentive to come up with, manufacture, and market an airbag vest in the first place.

I’d assume it means they’re describing a real-time fluctuating number that at any particular time was somewhere between 70% and 90%. Legitimate sales came in rate went down. Fraudulent sales came in rate went up.

The new tests revealed that the DNA on the club used to murder Reese matched an unknown man that wasn’t Lee.

I fully expect the Republican Party to jump on this incident as a reason to restrict people’s access to voting without ever once considering the role they played in it happening

It’s easy to handle unruly guests. They just space ‘em. (a.k.a. throw ‘em out the airlock.)

Sure... and stupid people aren’t individual organisms, they’re a group.

Seems like there is a whole bunch of logical fallacy in the concerns about vote-by-mail hypocrisy.

Yeah, it’s more egregious (IMO) than people here are letting on, it’s not simply about a BLM hat. It’s a shirt that references/makes statements about the specific crime he is sitting on a jury for, where one of the elements of the defense is the argument that the knee on the neck is perfectly acceptable use of force

Sounds like the real problem is that “runs” are too long for the design of the game.

You’re making the assumption she didn’t contact them. Nobody is making the claim she was an unwilling participate, (just that she was too young to legally be willing) so she would still likely have had whatever financial motivation to participate after she turned 18 as she had before. And considering there seem to be

I get that everyone wants to focus on the “she was 17" and I get why but once she turned 18 everybody involved were still committing crimes, just different ones.

Eh, nowhere does it say they contacted her after she turned 18 nor how long after she turned 18 any further contact occurred.
