Not sure if anyone answers this, but what's the timeline here for Brenda's pregnancy?  It seems pretty tight and possible she was pregnant while on the island?  If so that could have been a real nightmare given the number of medevacs that occur.

I haven't seen room 237, but conspiracy theorists combined with numerology sounds like my personal hell.

I disagree that the rest of it feels organic.  I won't give examples but every time I started to really dig this show it would do something so over the top that it made me question my ability to continue to watch.  The broad strokes of this show are genius, but the details can be pretty abrasive.
