Yeah, Debuchy wanted to go to Man Utd, which didn't go down well. Louis van Gaal wanted to sign him, apparently. Arsenal didn't want him to go there.
Actually, I wouldn't say that Real Madrid completely dominated possession (even though I did just say that). But they did completely dominate the match. It wasn't close. Plus, Ronaldo was suspended. Isco and Bale were rested, etc.
Yeah, it was very one-sided. Barcelona really miss Neymar. Luis Suárez got injured and will be out for four or five weeks. Real Madrid completely dominated possession. Ramos was Ramos. Asensio and Benzema were brilliant.
Did you see that ludicrous (Barcelona) display last night?
At the Confederations Cup?
Oh, he does?
Carl Jenkinson is still around too.
AW seemed to like the fact that Gabriel can also play as a RB. I don't think that applies to Arsenal's other central defenders.
The reaction of the fanbase to Debuchy is a bit odd. Debuchy didn't suddenly become a bad player when he was injured. People keep going on about Giroud being preferred to Lacazette in the national team. Well, there was a somewhat similar situation when Arsenal replaced Sagna with Debuchy, who was France's first-choice…
I expect Bielik will go on loan, yes.
Ah… I didn't read the comment properly. I doubt any of those guys would play as a RB.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also played that position. Reiss Nelson might even play at RWB, as he did in the Emirates Cup game against Benfica.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, probably.
I don't know who is the better player, but I think Holding deserves his place in the team (even though he wasn't great against Leicester). But if Gabriel hadn't got injured at the end of last season, he would've played in the FA Cup final and would probably be in the back three too (or instead of Holding).
The assumption seems to be that Calum Chambers will stay. I hope so. It would be ridiculous (and not unexpected) if Arsenal decided to sell both players and then suddenly had a shortage of central defenders.
Yeah, me too. He had some bad luck with injuries. I think the current system would suit him. I think he would have had (or if the move doesn't go through, will have) more playing time this season. Also, he seems like a good guy.
Alas, it seems unlikely that we'll surpass the 160,797 comments on “Digital Estate Planning” / “The First Chang Dynasty” / “Introduction To Finality”.
