Poor Old Lady.

CR7 made the difference, probably.

The whole thing was reminiscent of the Bayern vs Arsenal games. It was close at half-time. But Real Madrid were obviously better in every way.

What the fuck was that? The worst thing about this is that Sergio Ramos is going to be on the winning team.

BOOOOOOOO! (1-3)

I also thought Del Potro might win, but he looked utterly exhausted and defeated after the tie-break, at the end of that epic first set.

Mandžukić's goal… HOLY MOTHERFORKING SHIRTBALLS.

I said Murray and Wawrinka would find some form. (At least, I think I did). Also, I have been thinking for the last day or two that there's a good chance that the top eight seeds (Murray, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Nadal, Raonic, Thiem, Čilić, Nishikori) will all reach the quarter-finals. Has that happened before?

I watched "Through the Looking Glass" (not Lewis Carroll).

What did you think of Gal Gadot?

Also, Giroud was signed as the replacement for Robin van Persie, who had scored 37 goals in his final season. The atmosphere around the club was arguably (in my opinion, at least) more toxic than it has been this season. There seemed to be a lot of angst about the fact that Arsenal's captain had just signed for Man

Paraguay aren't a bad team, actually… Also, I don't think Giroud's contributions to Arsenal should be overlooked.

Bayern or Juventus, maybe. I don't think there are many realistic options, despite him being in great demand. He's not going to join Spurs or Liverpool, is he? Arsenal should give Özil the #10 shirt, whether or not Wilshere stays.

David Thewlis is a pro and a con?

Giroud scored a hat-trick for France tonight, in their 5-0 victory against Paraguay. It's interesting that he starts ahead of Lacazette and Mbappé.

I doubt that Asano or Akpom have a future at Arsenal, to be honest. It's *possible* that they will turn things around, as Coquelin did, but I would be surprised. I expect Lucas Pérez to leave, since he hasn't had much playing time. If I am not mistaken, he was close to being called up by Spain before he joined

"I doubt that Arsenal have tried to sign Kylian Mbappé for €100…"

There's an interesting interview with David Ornstein on the latest Arsecast.* He's a BBC journalist who seems to be one of the very few trustworthy sources in terms of transfers and what's going on inside the club. He said that Sead Kolašinac is basically done, but pooh-poohed the stories about Henry Onyekuru,

It's harder to call than the last few finals, but I think Juventus might win, actually. They've certainly improved since the 2015 final. 2-1 to the Old Lady, I reckon, with Dybala scoring before half-time, Ramos getting an equaliser, and then Alves getting the winner, all within 90 minutes.

Any predictions for Juventus vs Real Madrid?
