Who is the spiciest memelord?

…and Keith Ellison is deputy chair.

Not a fan of Not Music?

Yeah, I liked it too! I have listened to it a lot, so it probably should have been higher on my year-end list. There's an interesting interview with Tim Gane here, which suggests that a Stereolab reunion is unlikely. It's a shame because I would love to see them live, even though it obviously wouldn't be the classic

Did she like Cop Rock? I haven't seen it.

I suggest that you start with void beats/invocation trex. It's definitely in my wheelhouse. Also, some of their other releases are hard to find in any format.

So I finally listened to Light As Fuck. What did I think? It's good. I like how it sounds. I am glad that each song and the album itself doesn't outstay its welcome. At times, I am reminded of Death Grips, but it's obviously its own thing. There's a pretty interesting interview with Michael Kuhn here.

AVCAD is no more?

This is great!

Did you listen to Cavern of Anti-Matter?

Good picks. Many of my favourites are on Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements or Emperor Tomato Ketchup or Refried Ectoplasm: Switched On, Vol. 2. But likewise I can listen to anything by Stereolab.

Fun fact: As I read through the comments on an article about the "Weird Al" Yankovic box set, I discovered that Adam Schlesinger, the Emmy- and Grammy-winning composer for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and loads of other films and TV shows, used to be the bass player in Fountains of Wayne.

This is geoblocked for me. I've heard "It's Hard to Be Humble (When You're from Alabama)", which is on one of those Oxford American compilations.

What are your favourite Stereolab songs?
