I’ve said it before, I was super-cynical until about a minute before I got into the screening room. As a superhero origin story, there have been fewer films better. Paradoxically, that’s because it’s light on the superhero action. It feels earned.
That Power Rangers film was way better than it had any rights to be. I actually felt for those teens. Some people compared it to Fant4stic for its dour and overly serious tone and, yeah, I can’t disagree. But it is Fant4stic done right.

Naomi Scott was real good in the Power Rangers film, and I look forward to her breaking through with this.

I watched those 79 episodes over and over (78, since they hardly ran “Requiem for Methuselah”). I wanted more episodes for a long time. Then TNG arrived. It was different and the first three seasons…
I’m going to enjoy the ride, personally.
This episode almost made me take a Xanax. It was insane! It’s easily the most gorgeous visuals in a single episode we’ve ever seen. The massive fight, the squads of shuttles and pods, the alien allies - everything added up to something that was such a blast to watch.

There was nothing wrong with it being a prequel. It is a big universe with lots of stories to tell in every era.
So many EPS conduits explode in so many consoles this episode that it honestly might be a Star Trek record.
I’m very excited for a season 3 set an additional 900 years in the future, a time period we haven’t seen yet, except briefly in the “Calypso” Short Trek episode.

Well, production woes aside (although, damn, that is disheartening), I think that teaser looks creepy and cool. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
