i know, right? Compared to the other costs of running a restaurant, the minimum you’re legally allowed to pay people to work for you is incredibly consistent.

A local restaurant pulled this nonsense and now they are having the same problems as this place that people are fine with paying higher costs so others can afford to fucking live.

I expected government to be drowned in a bathtub by now. I expected to be paying 2 dollars a day in company scrip to debt peons, with a line out the door to take their place, by now.

Does he also add “surcharges” whenever the price of fish changes? Labor isn’t some unfair expense, it’s an expected cost of doing business.

I have admittedly not ever heard of this chain, but yep, this would be enough to make me boycott them. A few years back when the ACA was going into effect, the Papa of Papa Johns yelled about how he would have to raise the prices by 50 cents to cover the additional costs. How horrific!

I can’t believe people are this fucking stupid. Raising minimum wage will make everyone more money. If people have extra money, they will spend it on stuff. All that money spent on stuff gets transferred back to the rich assholes that begrudgingly provide those wages to their employees.
