dude, this is some fucked up shit. we don't need poor people to stop having kids, we need better social structures in place to prevent generational poverty in the first place.
oh hey, a classist comment that assumes all people living in poverty are stupid and worthy of our judgment. i am shocked.
Oh man, this is way after the fact but I just remembered another totally necessary brewery! Baerlic is in SE, very close to The Commons, and easily in my top 5 beer-drinking places in town. Also super quiet and plenty of opportunity to talk to the cool bartenders.
unrelated mechanisms, though, as i adore my iud but loathe cilantro
I left Idaho 8 months after I turned 18, and have had no say in any political issue there (with the exception of a single Library!-funding-related ordinance)... but I have the utmost, sincerest admiration for all of you there fighting to make that gorgeous state the equitable, human-rights-supporting place it deserves…
those eaaaars!!
ok, this is actually really horrible and disturbing but like... disneyland has ALWAYS been a fetid wasteland of contagious disease.
Definitely seconding Doug Fir and Goodfoot for shows!
Oh, yeah. I like Thunder Island alright. I've never heard of Backwoods; I'll have to check it out - thanks! Walking Man is totally worth trying for until it happens. There are also, like, three newish breweries in Carson... I haven't been to most of them, just this tiny one on a farm called Acadia, but I hear they're…
Okay, I have no idea how to edit comments, so apparently this is a new one. If you're coming here for beer, some of my favorite smaller breweries are Ecliptic, The Commons, Breakside, and Burnside. Food, on the slightly pricier side of things: Pambiche has incredible Cuban, Andina for Peruvian, Stammtisch for German,…
Ooh! What kind of things are you looking to do? Food? Booze? Music? Shopping? Outdoor activities?
I am SHOCKED by the number of dbags who recycle engagement rings. What the hell?!
Your rent is $14k/mo??? Gaaahhh. I have never felt so lucky.
Local government worker here; still able to access Jezebel! Also Gawker, etc.
You can also induce lactation through nipple stimulation! Probs more fun than eating placenta. I think it takes a lot, though, like 15 minutes 3-4x/day.
Oh, please, please tell your friend to not let other people's ignorant comments discourage her from applying for assistance she's entitled to! SNAP, WIC, and children's Medicaid (maybe even for her too, if your state expanded Medicaid post-ACA) are so so so useful and important. The reason those programs exist is…
"Which Dolly Parton Song Are You?" as written BY DOLLY PARTON is the clear winner...
haha I better be, I just binge-watched the entire series in, like, 2.5 months. In any case, let's raise a bowl of mock turtleneck soup to Edward/Richard.
He's too distraught to remember the name of it; he keeps calling it turtleneck soup and Emily can't figure out what he means. So Lorelai calls Sookie, who realizes he means "mock turtle."
