Steve playing with the girl's teddy bear seemed a clear riff on Billy Loomis doing the same thing in Sidney's bedroom in the original 'Scream' (whole scene played out very similarly, honestly).

yeah but 'ragtag group of kids has bullies on their back' is not exactly the most original of media tropes.

HEY GUYS THE EIGHTIES. I love Carpenter synths and Stephen King fonts as much as anyone…but this was cloying. As soon as the kids got to school, I thought 'cue bullies', and sure enough.

ditto.

Having 'It' as a single film instead of a miniseries is almost hilarious in its misguided fucktardery.

don't be. i lol'd.

I'm not gonna eat a fried bat. Look at that, it's all tendon!

Peep Show obviously had a very different structure, but the attitude was much the same.

the off-camera kill is absolute brilliance. it totally subverts what's expected of western and action dramas and deglamorizes death, underlining how pointless the violence really is. i love it.

'Well, I'm gonna go there and say…men's…private parts? ehhhhh?'

The SimCity series is a personal favorite but they're all essentially unplayable unless you use cheat codes and get giant buckets of cash.

"Imagine Ray Winstone has coughed it up!"

Sorry, can't erase the stench of 'The Master Of Disguise', not now, not ever.

Gretchen Carlson is a reprehensible human being, but even she doesn't deserve what's apparently been going on there (not that any of it's surprising).

JCL directing a film? Sweet! He's long been one of my very favorite character actors.

FAAAAAAAART!!!!!

AVC is the only place I read reviews, and now two shows I look forward to reading the reviews of have had their reviews axed (the other being '12 Monkeys'). And a third, 'Outcast', had a review suspiciously not show up last week, as well.

'Passengers will refrain from KILLING MY SOUL!'

It bothers me when stuff on a show happens like the opening sequence and no one in the adjacent motel rooms calls the cops, though. i know that's pedantic, but c'mon.

Fear The Walking Dead, too.
