Art imitates life
Last year he said his Pharos concerts in Joshua Tree would be his only performance but then he played at a festival in Australia or something a few months later. Do not believe his lies
From what I've read, it's closer to the opposite. Lynch wanted more episodes to be able to slow the pace way down; the script stayed the same length.
Phillip Gerard used to inspire awe and fear. Now it's more, "This guy again?"
She remains one of my favorite one-off characters in television history.
Which threads specifically?
Interesting. Especially the fact that you made it through all 10 episodes without finding any improvement. I would say that it's simply a matter of taste. I found the direction to be refreshing compared to other "sitcoms," many jokes very funny (specifically the much-lauded trans-racial and invisible car jokes), and…
The difference is he's not going to be remembered for changing music and doesn't have 21 Grammys.
Awaken My Love! might be his best work musically, but lyrically it's a fall cry even from the, well…camp of Camp. My least favorite album of his overall.

It got worse after he left, but if he didn't leave I have no idea what the narrative propulsion of the first half of the season would have been.
What did you actively dislike about it? I can see thinking it's overrated or whatever, but I can't think of anything objectionable or even outright bad about the show.
It's the show that had my favorite episodes last year while not being my favorite season of television. So I'm on board if serialization is something he's more interested in.
Side note: I would kill to see David Lynch direct porn.
That's what I assumed at first but the last names don't match up at all so no.
That was fucking awesome, as was the use of music in the first scene, cutting back and forth from the woman with the Blackberry. Lynch is the best there is at sound design.
Imagining someone saying they want their child to grow up to be very ugly in a genuine way made me chuckle at 2:00 am thank you.
I got really excited when I realized they're not all going to be Roadhouse performances.
