This Donald Glover FX deal is getting better all the time.

He's extremely self-aware in his art. Less so in public, I'll admit. I've seen interviews where he's self-conscious but still very much likeable and cogent, and others where he appears to be insane (Zane Lowe and Ellen).

Dan Harmon is my favorite living artist/creative person, but Community (specifically the first three seasons) is where all the stars aligned for him to not only write a brilliant show, but have a network-level budget, a full 20+ episode season, and legends like Chevy Chase, as well as future stars like Donald Glover.

I *did* like that one, but after a strong monologue and a few decent sketches the episode lost my interest starting with Weekend Update. Not a standout ep for me.

I don't understand how you could listen to The College Dropout and Late Registration and think he's a bad rapper. He left rap behind for 808s and it might be my favorite of his albums; he's become more of an all-around musician at this point.
