I don't think he's capable
Exactly. Noah Hawley thinks it is purposeless; between that and the Tripoli twist last season I'm not sure he's the most detail-oriented person.
The Johnny Karate show episode is one of my favorites in entire series.
I knew that, and tried very hard to dissuade her, but the molestation story and watching a drunk and high man confess to suicidal ideation was still more than we had bargained for.
No I agree; she's become a great character. The sexualization is less in the show itself and more in stuff like the deleted drunken commentary he recorded for the s1 dvd. He has also drawn pics of her for fans, again while drunk
I wasn't as enamored with Review as others (it peaked in season 1 for me). I did enjoy the finale, though. I'll have to check out Veep since I have HBO Now for The Leftovers right now, and God knows Silicon Valley isn't going to satisfy my sitcom needs.
Season 4 is currently in production and set to premiere at some point this year, to the best of my knowledge.
Atlanta, Nathan For You, and New Girl are current shows I would rank over Rick and Morty. Does my taste appease you as well?
I'm fairly inclined to agree. Especially the bringing back characters thing; I groaned at s3e1's big post-credits reveal
Or David Lynch's filmography, where child abuse qualifies as a running theme. Although he's such a private individual who knows what his personal relationship to it is (not that there is any need for anyone to know).
I was there live for that episode with my Christian aunt. It was a quiet car ride home
Female cousin. Has quite a bit do with his weird sexualization of Summer
I don't know, they were pretty cool when I met them. Although I don't love Rick and Morty that much, and most of its fandom is insufferable for me.
He's also in what is by all accounts a healthy, happy relationship, which is surprising if you know anything about his previous marriage.
That's the coolest thing I've heard all day
Even acknowledging its flaws, that's ridiculous. Aaron Eckhart is certainly another reason to watch it.
If Mulholland Drive was from a director I'd never heard of and wasn't continually hailed as one of the few true masterpieces of the 21st century so far, I too would be more forgiving of its flaws. But sometimes you have to fight (perceived) hyperbole with hyperbole, I suppose.
You're right; the fact that it's the only footage so far that could plausibly be from a scene in the new season (as opposed to the b-roll of waterfalls and swaying trees) is significant. I'm saving the Missing Pieces for the end of my full rewatch, but from what I've read I expect some lightheartedness in addition to…
I am so jealous of you
I fully expect it to blow my mind and hurt my soul and do all the things that ep 14, the finale, and FWWM did for viewers a quarter-century ago. What I don't dare to hope for is that it will me make laugh and warm my heart the way I know Lynch (and Frost) can. It is on Showtime, but that does not mean it has to be…
