the worst dialogue, imo, was the "people hurt me" / "i hurt people" exchange. i don't like being able to predict what characters are about to say. and "fuck" was little bit overused.

"Conditioned"

You're right; I thought about that after posting. I think what burns more is feeling like Wii U owners were "tricked" into investing into a 4-year console, but even that isn't true for me since I got my money's worth out of Splatoon alone. The only real anti-consumer move Nintendo made with it was delaying Zelda for

Fun fact: I've quickly grown to hate almost every single Mario Kart game I've ever owned (the sole exceptions being Double Dash and DS), but I'm still going to try this one to see if either the series or I have changed. I never got to experience the Luigi Death Stare.

I love that you're acknowledging that it's not actually a very real possibility but you need to buy one anyway, just to be safe. It's always fun to see people, myself included, rationalize their launch hardware purchasing decisions.

Yup, been reading that's currently a major concern. Sounds like a lot reviewers are either only playing it for three hours between charges, or bringing the AC adapter with them since power packs aren't up to the task.

Thanks for reminding me of all the amazing Wii games I still haven't gotten to, sitting in the nice display case my uncle built for me. Not to mention the Wii U games that are still in their shrink wrap. You know, maybe I never need to buy another video game again. After Zelda comes out, of course. And Mario…

Personally, traveling with a bulky, expensive device is my version of hell, so much so that I rarely took my 3DS with me even when I was actively playing it and had a dope-ass carrying pouch from Club Nintendo. The Switch will be a backpack-only, portable charger just in case proposition for me and therefore more

If BotW were getting anything other than phenomenal reviews across the board so far, I would be mad about buying it twice, but as it is now my cousin will get to play it when I sell or give him my Wii U eventually, and I'm sure the side quests alone will justify having it on Switch.

You're going to want at least one Pro Controller, too. I'd say he's looking at $450, realistically, and that's without any games. Fortunately, Fire Emblem won't be out for at least a year, which gives him time to save and find deals.

I don't think it's egregiously overpriced, but then again I bought the 3DS for $250 at launch. I do agree that it doesn't feel like much of an upgrade from the Wii U as a home console which is why I'll be perfectly content to pick up Zelda for mine in 24 hours and play through it using my fancy new Pro Controller

BotW would be better on the obsolete system too, but they removed the Wii U-exclusive features (having the map on the GamePad, etc.).

It's one of those things that meant something until everyone started using it.

I would be so down for that.

Flushed Away is one of those films I would never pay a cent for nor go through the trouble to pirate, yet I'm really desperate to see again. I hope that they rerun it sometime in the next decade…

He seems to suffer from some form of depression, so I'm more surprised that he's managed to achieve the success he has. I wish him all the best.

"Something of a masterpiece" from an AV Club commenter is the highest praise I can ever dream of receiving, no joke.
