Props to Atlanta for being the first new show since Community ended to truly excite and thrill me, and leave me antipicating the next episode. The golden age ain't over yet.

My mom definitely heard them

The dog is not what it seems

I may have thought the show was a bit of a disappointment/extremely careless in its disregard for the attendees, but I'm still willing to follow Gambino anywhere, musically. I would like him to find a way to retain both his experimental, high art aspirations and his likability/sense of humor that make his best work so

Oh you were suggesting Earn could be the one hallucinating. I hadn't thought of that. At this early stage I don't see it, although you're right that there has to be some sort of dramatic explanation for the Princeton thing. What I would like, potentially, is a combo of the two: keep the audience guessing whether Earn

Yeah the only bits that irked me slightly were Earn's slightly pedantic-sounding "sexuality is a spectrum" and one other progressive-minded comment. They didn't feel out of character for him in the moment, necessarily, but as the audience we know Donald Glover is smart about these things, so it's not super interesting

I was at the last night of Pharos, and unfortunately I was not. I applaud the ambition, but the acoustics were awful and ruined any chance of the audience being able to get into it. Here's hoping the finished album is something worth listening to.

Maybe not, but I have no idea where you got the schizophrenia idea from. I guess the Nutella man could be crazy and it could also be a moment of magical realism, but it's not just the former.

Curious why you think he made the wrong decision

Interesting is one word for it

No, unless you consider Cooper's dreams in Twin Peaks to also be bouts of schizophrenia.

The new album is going to be…different. Just wanted to start slowly, gingerly removing that bandaid.

That short monologue resonated with me too much

It's not going to show up til right around when I post this comment, give or take an hour. But the good news is they showed it a total of six times tonight between the east and west feeds, so if you're late you can still catch a repeat every hour (or half hour starting next week).

Having seen it, next week is somewhat of a Van episode. A lot more of her than these two, at any rate.

Yeah. Is the other one coming…later?

I had already seen it once when I was dead tired, but the second time I teared up.

This is probably the most insightful criticism of the show I've read so far outside of a couple comments on Reddit.

What do you mean by "really younger days"? Were you friends with him in high school or something?

I'm really glad it still works just as well for someone who didn't just go into needless debt to see him perform his new album last weekend. It helps that the second episode sidelined him and made you consider Paper Boi and Darius as essentially co-leads.
