he rides the line between smarmy wiseass and just completely lovable so well.

yeah that was pretty silly

oh so that's where you can watch Avengers. Do they have any other Marvels?

loved the way his solo scenes were shot. so crisp and thrillery

I agree mostly but come on, you can't complain too much about the action in a movie that has Spider-Man crawling on Giant-Man's head.

correction: the first Marvel with good-in-italics fight scenes was Winter Soldier.

saw this film twice. it's good!

in your defense it's not a real word. but no joke my grandma made some last night and I had to seriously consider saying no.

oof baboof. you just listed one of my favorite films and tv shows of all time. At least I know that I'll probably love North by Northwest now, though. Thanks!!

walt is kind of a shitty character overall, so you're not way off base there. but if you can get to seasons 2 and 3, there's a lot of wonderful stuff with a lot of the other characters, incl. Saul, Mike, and Gus. (Marie and Walt Jr. not so much)

Fly is the best episode I don't care who knows

ROLL AROUND IN THE DIRT WITH ME

it's funny because i share all of his opinions, but i agree that he probably could have phrased them in a less inflammatory way.

you should probably consider yourself lucky to not be on Singer's 'wavelength'

I find Captain America: Civil War to be a rare exception to this.

but do you like the frequent digressions into Irving's Vietnam War thoughts??

Thank you for expressing this. Such a fundamentally empty experience for me

anytime I read something negative about Kubrick it's like garmonbozia for the teenage soul. I just think he's a brilliant aesthetician with a fundamentally empty understanding of character and human nature. (I know this is far from an original criticism, but I desperately want to enjoy his work more than I do.)

personally, i think having conflicted, contradictory relationships with artists is underrated

he's such a good actor that it kills me to see him in trash
