You can actually pinpoint the exact moment everything goes wrong in that movie: When Uhura is negotiating with the Klingons and seems to be getting somewhere until Khan comes in with a ship guns blazing.

Well Into Darkness was roughly a third of a good Star Trek movie since I think the first act is for the most solid but the film falls apart once they get to Kronos.
