I agree although, as far as I know Japan seems much less weirded out by technology in general than your average American, who are a little more behind on the technological integration bandwagon. So I would not be surprised if it took more of a paranoid view technology, itself. I mean that was what was so amazing…

I noticed that too, it was not so much as saving the Rebels as it was just getting everyone off planet. I think Bendu bellowing at Kanan on the way out was kind of an exclamation point. I feel like there has to be more to the Bendu’s vision for Thrawn then just the defeat of the empire.

The droid army was incompetent yes, but their leadership was usually sound, and they could crank out droids faster then the Republic could churn out clones, so if not for the Confederacy leadership literally being in the tank to throw the thing it might have dragged on for even longer.

I think your guide is pretty much QED for the season. the only one of the filler episodes that bugged me was Wynkahthu. 

but remember in the Empire that can afford to build not one but TWO death stars, they pay per laser bolt on the turbo lasers Thrawn was just watching his budget.
