John's insufferable personality has come from years of working in kitchens. When he started out, being a borderline pyschopath was almost required. You worked in kitchens because you were desperate or crazy. Tesar was probably a little of both, but he's got such talent that he didn't end up in a gutter weekending at

We saw some of that with season 8. A lot of the "All-Stars" were very competent chefs but didn't seem to have really prepared for another shot. Blais won because he was just a better chef who had a (completely understandable) breakdown in the finale. He knew it and I'm pretty sure he had been preparing for another go.

Well, with The Office, they already got their real finale. What's ending this season is The Office: Med School.

Marshall's line of "I'm not ready for this" was a punch in the gut. I almost lost my dad when I was really young and that scene just brought those memories screaming back. Whatever else this show messes up, it knows how to hit the little things really, really well.

They could have just pulled it out of Ted's wedding binder. Ted having a wedding dress for Robin wouldn't even be a new low point for him.

She's still Chairman of the Board, or some such.

Yes, they do. But Locklear's entrance is still worse, as is the cutting of The Coral's "Dreaming of You" from My Monster. I'm probably more pissed off at losing Dreaming of You, because the lyrics are far more appropriate for JD-Elliot.
