I've been thinking of the fun that Eugene Byrd must have had playing Andy Diggle after playing a squint on Bones for so long.

Diggle's goal was always, somehow, to rehabilitate his brother.

I would like Olivia to go through this change and, having assimilated all that she has experienced, is, and still has the potential to be (maybe the arc could have her land in the grey: a pragmatic Lawful Neutral with maybe a few showings of Chaotic Neutral Olivia when needed), decide that it is time to eliminate her

Thank you for reviewing this show. I hope, if it does return for a second season, that it continues to be reviewed by The AV Club.

I loved it when Jane told the mediator to "Stay out of this." The mediator said, "No, I can't, you hired me to be in this." So few people say no to Jane.

No, 15 episodes were reviewed and then, weirdly, it was just dropped, See here: (http://www.avclub.com/tvclu…. It was stupid to drop the show—unless, as you say, staff writers had to drop it b/c they were being tasked with other shows and it had to be dropped.

There were quite a few comments made to the reviews up to Episode 15, (http://www.avclub.com/tvclu…, when, weirdly, #TheAVCLUB stopped it's reviews.

I've enjoyed this series since I began catching up with it while putridly sick three or four years ago. Now though, I have to go back and re-watch the series from seasons 1-5.

What bothers me is that Alice, who's been in the detective/security business for YEARS doesn't sweep her home and phone and computer after she's been stalked and generally harassed by a rogue FBI/Interpol(?) agent. That she doesn't is weak storytelling.

Hello. I'm so happy to see this review.

"The Pan-Cultural-Seasonal-Entity!"

To me, her decision to try to use Kigrave was an expedient one. It was completely in character. She's a ruthless woman seeking to exploit any edge she has in any part of her life that she can. Kilgrave was, before she was taken over, a perceived quick way to get her way.

It's believable that she'd think that she could control him because, until her controlled her, she didn't believe anything Jessica had told her about her own experience with Kilgrave.

You don't believe women can be like this? Business women? Lawyers? Politicians? You've got a narrow view of women as people.

WHY did Jessica take Luke to the E.R.?

She's not incompetent. The problem is that she's trying to inflict upon Kilgrave the pain she experienced when he was in control of her. She, in her zeal and desire for revenge, is going against him in the wrong way.

Why doesn't Jessica understand that she has her witnesses for Hargrave in his parents and NOT have taken them to Kilgrave but instead taken them TO Hargrave for depostion? #SoDumb

It's not obviously a man's part. There are women like Jeri existing in the world—even though, for purposes of this show, she seems to be a heightened version of the type.

i like your points re Kilgrave's sociopathic behavior.

Well, Malcolm isn't very good at starting with the lead. He tends to bury it, as many people do.
