McDonald’s pays a decent wage for the work being performed. I worked there as a teen and was treated well, and learned a lot about the responsibilities of being employed. I didn’t earn much money ($4.25/hr back then), but I consider it to have been paid training.

No when you retire, you are technically still under the teams roster for your contract period. If he retires he can’t play this upcoming season he would be able to play where ever in 2018. It’s a weird loop hole that they closed but no you can’t retire than un-retire within the span of a season.
