Kinect is a fun techdemo for a technology i consider very interesting. Just get a PC then. The point of the console is to be a piece of cheap stable hardware, not a technological spearhead. Get a PC, upgrade video card every 2 years and CPU/RAM every 4 -5 or so years. Storage space is a non-issue.
