@Span_Wolf: Well usually the publisher will finance the developer with X amount + Y adjustments. That is up to the studio to accept the deal or not. And then the publisher sorts out the outcome, if it was a failed game they mark the investment as a loss and will be hesitant to work with the studio in the future or…
