Found the guy fucking with Korey’s car.

they’re switching up the branding and communication of it in typical GM fashion (ie piss poor).

IMO a lot of the confusion-fueled backlash could have been avoided if they had been crystal clear in their announcement with a “But Hey! Wait! there’s more coming. We are moving down V to make it more affordable and the new V series you know and love is a V+, VS or Blackwing with proper turbo V6 and V8s” or whatever

Yes, this is what’s confusing. I feel like these are more similar to the V-Sport models?

If they’re bringing hotter ones, why do these have the V badge on them? I guess they could be going full German (A3/S3/RS3 for example) and trying to have multiple tiers of performance in the same line, but it seems like they should try to win at 1 tier before trying to win all 3.

Nah, new M340i has 382 HP so knowing BMW, it’s probably got over 400 crank HP. BMWs are usually faster than their numbers as well. Last gen M5 with only 560 HP beat the CTS-V with 640HP to 60 and quarter mile, both were RWD.

So while the Germans churn out 500+ hp SUV’s Cadillac responds by...... Diluting the V branding.

It would be lighter, cheaper, and would have more interior room. You don’t think those are improvements?

And those large RWD drive cars didn’t need RWD either. Just because something exists doesn’t mean it was necessary, and it certainly doesn’t mean it is necessary now. RWD is detrimental to this sort of vehicle.

Yet what stood out the most was how planted it felt all the time. It’s a big thing, the Crown, and the mass certainly helps keep it stuck to the ground

There’s really no reason for a “Luxury Cruiser”, especially one with < 200 HP and a CVT to be RWD. All it does is add cost and decrease usable space in the passenger compartment.

My neighbor got a blue Silverado recently. My wife tells me, “Did you see that nice looking truck our neighbor just got?”

Unfortunately, you still have to be seen in the 2019 Chevy Silverado.

Shhhhh this was supposed to be a secret! Now everyone is going to be looking for cheap K-Cars and Ford Granadas!

Honestly, the problem with going this route is parts. Popular car have an aftermarket, or at the very least they have dedicated owners groups that cultivate and provide parts for fellow owners. Unpopular

I wonder what tier my 1981 TTA Daytona Pace Car would fall into.

Consumers have full faith that automakers will sell them a safe and reliable product

You bring up an interesting point. Where do you bring this car to get serviced? It’s literally a BMW with a Toyota body kit... I’m guessing you drop it off at Toyota and they drive it over to the nearest BMW dealership?

For when you want to own a BMW without any of the benefits of owning a BMW. Nothing like taking this in for service, having it worked on by their master Corolla technician and getting put in a base model C-HR as a loaner...

Am I the only person who hates the “just stick a tablet to the top of the dash” aesthetic?
