This is exactly right. Airlines have experimented with different classes of seating, with differently configured airplanes, and so forth, and what they find, if I remember correctly, is that people would rather pay less and be cramped.

Appeared to be missing the tension cables from the central column also.
The central support was in. However the mast and cables were not installed. So, the first section of bridge installed was either designed to support itself without the cables or it should have been temporarily supported until the mast and cables were installed.
Yeah. It was meant to be a two span cable stayed bridge with the tower between the spans and one span much longer. It looks like they had just put up one (longer) span without the supporting tension cables and their tower.
I bet they the strength of the long span be enough to support itself but were sorely mistaken.
Back when ford first came out with the newer 5.0 they were capable of low 12 second 1/4 miles with a set of drag radials. These new mustangs are even faster and capable of more. People should stop trying to say they are slower than people think when its really a 500 hp car your getting.
The 15-17 GTs are slower than people think. Low 13s is what most magazine reviews have them at.
This is nothing new. Back in my day, we were walking loud ass Mustangs in our four-cylinder sedans.
GTs should be clicking off much faster 1/4 mile times than this.
The IRS has nothing to do with this. 2018 GTs are deep into the low 12s stock.
It’s kind of like the guy who runs a 15 second pass in a Lamborghini. It needs a driver mod.
This article is just to stir the bees nest, as it were. That’s what gets hits.
But...but...but..... Lotus, right? I mean, Corvettes suck, cause you know...Jalopnik.
While I don’t dispute that both cars are quicker around a circuit (I drove both as a part of R&T’s PCOTY testing), Lightning Lap isn’t the best judge of a car’s abilities.
Can we establish a rule that every SC430 is CP no matter what?
The Panel is the Holy Grail for HHR SS collectors.
Don’t you think it’s maybe a Catch-22? Go look at sales of the Tacoma and 4Runner as an example. Look at residual values for them. I’d say that they are proof positive that people do want a smaller than fullsize vehicle that is still towing/offroad/work capable. Go look at sales of the Colorado, they’ve been very…
-Facts matter.
TRADE DEFICITS ARE NOT BAD THINGS.
It’s not always such a blatant, “I’m going to buy this car because of this movie.” For Lexus, in this case, it’s probably more a case of “dang, I didn’t know Lexus had a 2-door that looked that good.” leading to a potential BMW 4-Series buyer also cross-shopping the Lexus.
This may be the worst take on autonomy I’ve seen yet.
And if we are completely honest, what has increased automation and convenience done for our society?
