Same here. I usually just google the name of the episode + avclub and that leads me to the right article, but the navigation is all kinds of fucked.

I don't think anybody still gives a shit about Sam. I think they would have done best by the character by simply having this be his only scene in the season, because everything that preceded it was stupid.

So yeah, this definitely merits the hype.

That's actually the second episode's title. This one is Governed As It Were By Chance. And as far as Helena/Gracie go… you haven't seen the last of their relationship, she gets much more likable in the future.

A very common name in western Slavic countries.

I rewatched that and I'm not so sure about the accent (it still doesn't sound convincingly southern, but maybe that's the actor's fault). The first time I heard it as a Japanese accent, I was probably wrong.

I mostly mentioned this because she couldn't translate Maryann's headchanting and she specifically mentioned that René's thoughts had a different accent than his speech.

Yeah, this is the second interview with a writer this season I've read where the writer in question sounds very apologetic and unsure about their own material. I'm blaming this on Buckner. What surprises me is that he has been on the show almost from the beginning and it's absolutely baffling how he can have such a

You know, I can see how that plotline could have worked. Tara has too often been defined by the grudge she holds towards her mother for how her childhood has turned out. This has been her main thing during the first two seasons and it would have been nice to close out her character arc with forgiveness and letting go

I'm in the minority of people who actually like True Blood. Up to this season, I was regular-watching it instead of hatewatching it. But given the groundwork this season has set, a full F finale is really the best possible scenario. There is no way to salvage this and have an actual decent finale episode anymore.

The final bad guy of True Blood, a long-running show about vampires, is the Yakuza. I think that when you reach this point of not giving a fuck, adding vaguely racist stereotypical portrayal is just the cherry on top.

Yeah, last week's was the double whammy of being both retarded and slow as hell to plow through. This was mostly fun to watch and only some scenes were actively trying to damage your brain.

YAY FOR JAPANESE GUY THINKING IN ENGLISH WITH JAPANESE ACCENT

If nothing else, this was still miles above last week's episode.

but Libby was absolutely great in the first season
this sounds bad, haven't watched any s2 episodes yet and it sounds so cheap they would do that

I found him super attractive in the first episodes of the first season. Basically before he shaved and grown out his hair, both factors greatly decreasing his attractiveness.

The fun part is the pairing of him who should never have to masturbate and her, who can't ever initiate sex and never receives oral from him.

Well, Hitchens' article might have granted an exception to the general rule, but it's still a reactionary piece of shit that should be mocked for eternity. I mean, I feel guilty for just clicking on it. That just gives it more power.

Claire singing in the office? I think you mistook the worst for the best.

I feel you on the Freddy Rodriguez lust, but mine was probably not strong enough. Rico felt like the most horrible character on the show almost from the beginning.
