I'd kind of like to reverse that idea. It's not important that a werewolf is a lupine wavelength haemovariform, it's important that a lupine wavelength haemovariform is experienced as a werewolf. Having the universe made completely rational would be the worst possible thing to ever happen.

I wanted to like the two parter more than I did. It's still great, but it's way better in the portions where Satan is crawling on the edges and/or silent than in the portions with a huge flame monster.

I felt so sorry for Hannah this episode. Mostly because not feeling what everyone else thinks you should be feeling is not really something you can control and getting shamed by everyone for that is just awful. (Of course, it was her own damn fault for bringing it up all the time, but, well, she's Hannah Horvath)

Okay, I've read the reviews. I see where the critique for Tooth and Claw is coming from and the difference is solely in the reaction to the Doctor and Rose being insensitive jackasses. I actually liked that part: It makes perfect sense for me because Ten was established as a sort of child character early on - larger

I just wanted to say that I wouldn't grade 'New Earth' anything below B for the final Cassandra scene alone. Or 'Tooth and Claw' anything below A- for the whole goddamn episode. I get that the grades are subjective, but still couldn't help feeling a little outrage after seeing them.

I really dislike the theory that Damon is a bad influence on her and all the horrible can be blamed on him. It's pretty lazy. So I hope that wasn't the writers' intention.

I've only ever seen a few random episodes of this, but it's a small wonder how enjoyable it was given that two of the main characters were basically the worst people on television who weren't soap opera villains.

This is probably the effect of his short turn on The Originals, but at this point he's gone too far into the knight templar territory to be likeable, no matter how justified his hatred of Klaus is. Also after Klaus banished him from Mystic Falls, I found myself not missing him at all. He had a nice character arc in

I still don't see how it's wrong for Caroline to have sex with him.

Anna/Pearl reunion! That was so great and I would've forgotten that.

Yeah, can't deny that. Those choices seem very deliberate on the writers' part, so I'm going to assume that they are going to deal with this later on.

Yeah. The scene was perhaps unnecessarily sappy, but after she spent the rest of the episode screeching how much she hates Katherine, she needed that moment.

I don't think that having casual sex with someone hoping that it's probably the last time you see that person is the same as entering into a relationship with that person.

That knock knock joke was the best, but "I feel like I'm constantly reinventing myself. I'm like a supernatural Madonna!" is not getting nearly enough love around these parts.

The forgiveness scene was the only moment I liked Elena in this episode. I liked the show's exploration of what would vampire Elena be like last season (not all the possibilities were explored well, but it was still good to see the show trying), but it's disappointing that their ultimate answer to that question seems

I actually thought this was a great way to let them have fun for five minutes without it killing Caroline's character. I always kind of liked Klaroline despite knowing it would be entirely against Caroline's character, so them having sex only when she knows that it doesn't mean anything and she's rid of him forever

Season 5 has been generally kind to Stefan, possibly to balance how unkind it is to Elena. (Even though they did try to frame him not being an asshole to the whole doppelganger fatal attraction thing).

Blaming Katherine for his actions seemed a little out of character given that Damon usually spends his days telling everyone how horrible he is and generally aware of what is and isn't his own damn fault. It was also a little weird to see everyone having a Katherine hatefest, as this season their relationships to her

This was the one hundredth? I was wondering what's the reason for all the gratuitous past character appearances.

I think they might work around Jesus and still show Judas and other very related figures. At least I hope that's how they would do it, because I don't see any way that bringing actual Jesus to this show might end up not horribly.
