Also, I'd like to use this space to appreciate Phoebe Tonkin making the character sympathetic even though the writing for her is subpar.

I don't think a love triangle is going to happen since Klaus certainly doesn't have feelings for Hayley (even though he could grow to consider her somewhat of a sister/friend). But yeah, can't imagine Klaus taking kindly to a potential romance between the mother of his child and his brother.
Werewolves aren't that strong on this show though. They're not to be fucked with around the full moon, but the rest of the time vampires easily overpower them. Their biggest advantage - their bite is poisonous to vampires - is only available when they're in wolf form. Hayley can't really do much, especially when kept…
Rebekah dragging the corpse around the mansion nonchalantly was priceless.
I still like this show less than The Vampire Diaries, but that comparison is becoming increasingly meaningless. Elijah and Cami were both great this episode and I like the somehow distant, elevated feeling the show conveys a lot of the time. With both Klaus and Elijah I truly get the sense that these are immortal…
Ted is what Ross Geller should have been. I like the character a lot.
I thought they actually killed Katherine for a while. That would be the worst decision ever.
Ted should absolutely publish a crummy novel at one point in his lifetime and I won't hear otherwise.
I was kind of surprised that the witches truly believe the girls will rise again. The way Devina set it up it sounded like they counted with them really ending up dead (and it doesn't make sense to me that they sacrificed the girls without informing them. if they believe in the resurrection, it's not hard to imagine…
I thought it was really funny. B is how I would have graded it too, but not in the 'not terrible' way, in the 'actually very funny' way.
Was I supposed to recognise the guy who played the night clerk though? Because I didn't. Also he was annoying and I wished for him to go away.
Honestly, if this was a filler episode, it was a brilliant one. The out of nowhere absurdity of Night Falcon was the best part, closely followed by Barney and Robin's unison speech about them as wolves killing their prey together and Josh Radnor's wonderful comedic performance (has he always been this funny or has he…
I just realized how similar Caroline is to Lexi and should have earlier, I think.
I hope he's not coming back as a regular. I mean, he's nice for an episode or two, but he's had his time to shine and I haven't been missing him even thought he barely appeared since like half of season 4.
I thought this episode was wonderful. Was worried about amnesiac Stefan, but that turned out as well. The only problem I have is that Paul Wesley, while good, is no Nina Dobrev and I can't really differentiate between his performances as Ripper(ish) Stefan and Silas.
I promise.
The show will end with Aria driving a stake through Ezra's cold black heart.
Caleb is not really a bad boy character though. He was at the beginning but he's mostly just boring/voice of reason kind of guy.
I'm 19 and rotary phones were still not that unusual when I was little.
C+ is ridiculous. This was even better than the summer finale as far as I am concerned. The only problem I have is that Caleb's transition to Ravenswood is a bit of a stretch.
