While I myself love the tried and true manual, I also have fallen in love with the DCT/PDK style transmission (and I’m in the process of buying a car with a dual clutch because it’s a modern motorsport derived technology with a plethora of benefits), you have to realise that there is nothing wrong with loving a three

Exactly.

There is no *direct* competition but in my experience it indirectly competes with the Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X5/X6, Porsche Cayenne, Macan, Bentyaga, Range Rovers, even Cadillac Escalades, SRXs, Navigators, Yukon, and so on. It takes consumers from all over the SUV market.

Actually, if you really look at it.... Nearly every state in the South allows Tesla to sell their cars. In fact, Florida (who would’ve thought), was the first state (and maybe the only state) to permit autonomous driving and they did that in 2012— long before Tesla came out with Autopilot 1 and the current Autopilot

As someone who lives in the area nearest Champion (hell of a place considering they bought out a *Wal-Mart* to put MOAR Porsches), knows the demographic of people that live there and works for a certain electric car company in that same area.... I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner. Good for them, though—

Anyone else see a slight resemblance to a really fancy Honda Accord in respect to the that car above? .....I do.

somehow**

As cool as this is, I think that racing will stop being a sport if this fully takes over.... The physically and mentally demanding nature of racing is something that makes the sport so damn awesome and with this; it’s taken away.

I want to propose a question that perhaps may just be a projection of my inner desires but...... do you all think that with the advances in safety and technology coupled with the skills of modern drivers, increased power, and continued growth of the WRC that we may one day see the return of Group B style rallying?

I love all 944s most of all being the 951 but I can’t find one for a decent price anymore as they’re starting to escalate rapidly now. This car is super cool though, and similarly I’m about to buy a 655 whp RX7 with no aero today because I have a death wish lol

I’m just going to be leave this here.

Im seeing Cayman but I’m not *hearing* Cayman.....

I’ve always struggled as to why the WRC won’t come to the US and/or Canada to do rally events? I mean, both the US and Canada have some spectacular roads that really would kick some serious ass as they beckon to be driven. Furthermore, it’d be great for the worldwide development of the sport and could you imagine WRC

He’s right, living in those mentioned areas I’ve never been surrounded by more Canadians than well.....when I was in Canada. By extension I’ve never felt safer, either. Maybe what Florida needs is.....more Canadians.

Don’t cut.

Plot twist: they work for GM

P.S., Oh, I love my gas cars too as I own an Alpina E30 and do motorsports for fun but Tesla’s are plenty fun!

As someone who works for Tesla, I highly suggest you take another look at our cars. Right now, the battery capacities (70Kwh and 90KwH) can give you anywhere from approximately 230+ on the low end and approximately 290+ on the high end. In fact, it’s totally possible to get more out of that as many people have done

When life imitates Art....

What really needs to happen to that the onerous, and asinine emission and safety laws in the US needs to change— irrespective of this incident. I feel as if the government is also to blame on this, because of how stupid the legislation is.
