I hope she sees some jail time, although I doubt if she would use it for reflections on race and privilege.  And how on earth does she look in the mirror and think she’s superior?  

We went from the epitome of class to the epitome of trash.  

The sport is rife with this. I know countless women who have put up with abuse for the opportunity to ride good horses. Me included. As an adult, I wouldn’t train with anyone who behaved like that, but as a kid, you rode with who you could, and didn’t tell your parents for fear they wouldn’t let you ride anymore.

They’re checking to make sure both testicles have descended, but I fail to see why that had to be included in a kids movie. I don’t think they needed to be that realistic about dog shows.

Absolutely. Obie’s dad cannot go barefoot, it hurts, and I’m running around with no shoes or socks pretty much all year.

Oddly, my plantar fasciitis went away when I started wearing Vibram five fingers. As did my shin splints. I think barefoot should always be a viable option.

I also hate shoes, until I discovered Vibram five fingers. I know they look all kinds of goofy, but they are amazing. I wear them everywhere. I even go hiking in the mountains in them. They are as close to barefoot as you can get and still have a shoe on.

Horses do indeed hold grudges. They also never forget. A horse will remember someone, and how they treated them, even if they haven’t seen them in years. Obie is especially intuitive. He mirrors every feeling, which makes for some interesting rides!

No reasonable person should be against this. This is a law based on data and common sense and I wish we had more of them.

Yes, but women of color actually look good in them. For us pasty folk it’s much harder to wear those shades and not look like we flunked clown school.
