The third was assigned reading for school. And not like reading for BOOK IT! or choosing books off a summer reading list, but “here is a list of books you have to read for the year, now read them”. Nothing turned me off quite like being forced to slog through books I didn’t want to read. If the time I had available

I had the exact same experience.

I played WoW from Vanilla up through Cataclysm. Between my old guild splitting up and learning how much of a rep grind Mists was gonna be, I had to hang it up.

I had to tell myself this with Destiny 2. After the LAST update for Black Armory, I spent weeks trying to grind to a high enough level to get through the “gate” to the new content, only to repeatedly get screwed by lousy matchmaking and having to start over. After a total of maybe 6-7 weeks, I realized I wasn’t having

My city (Portland) won’t recycle them if the caps are on. Caps go in the trash, bottles in the recycling. Is this not how it is elsewhere?

I love it.

The hubris required to lose soundly to one of the most hated men in the US Senate and then turn around and say “shit, I could win the whole presidency” is truly astounding. What an asshole.

I knew a guy who had one of these. In the two years he owned it, the compressor wheel blew off the turbo and went through the engine, requiring full replacement of the longblock and exhaust (which had bits of turbocharger lodged in it) - twice.

Honestly I don’t see a lot of hacking and griefing in games anymore, but I do see a LOT of racist/offensive usernames. I remember getting wrecked in Destiny 2 Crucible and being that much angrier when it was from someone with a 1488 in his name and the clan call sign [MAGA] - I remember reporting a teabagger in SSBU

I believe it HAS been corroborated that a lot of the original art - backgrounds in particular - from FFIX has been lost as the art was mostly contracted out rather than being handled in-house. A few of the designers still have the original high resolution files and have supplied them to modders, but a lot of it is

I did this when I sold my 1997 Outback that I had poured tons of time, energy, and money into. It had a full WRX swap, interior and exterior, and tons of other mods, making just under 300whp/wtq in a car that weighed just over 2500lbs. I sold it on Nasioc and was pretty picky about selling it to someone who would

Couldn’t agree more. What’s the point in all that work going towards having a “fast wagon” if you can’t put that power to the ground?

Dude, our stock lights are SO BAD.

Yeah, my family has put over 100,000 miles on six Subarus in the past thirty years - two of which went over 200k, and one is still running at 500k on its second owner. Just keep up with maintenance.

Really weird how Subarus didn’t get a reputation for unreliability until the WRX became an affordable first car for too-online high schoolers who still read Super Street. Probably just a coincidence.

Having owned a WRX, now owning a Fiesta ST, and having owned and driven tons cars in between: this is, oddly enough, the correct answer. You can get 300lb/ft of torque out of the 1.6 with minimal work, parts are cheap and plentiful, and the chassis is terrific.

FiST was my first choice until I saw automatic. I’m looking out the window at my FiST and I’d still have trouble telling someone to buy something else if they wanted a small, fun car.

Here’s an example - my storage unit got robbed last year. The unit’s insurance wouldn’t pay for my stuff because I didn’t have itemized receipts of everything I owned. Initially I thought I was boned because I had signed a contract releasing them from liability from all damages and losses. It turns out that, by not

“Is Mega Man 11 trapped by our expectations for what a Mega Man game needs to look like? We know there are always going to be eight bosses, that each one is always going to drop a new ability, and all the rest. What would happen if there were 10 evil robot masters? Or 12? Or four? What if they introduced
