Open Carry is stupid useless shit designed to promote firearms accidents, losses, and theft. The only purpose for brandishing and flashing a firearm in public is to act like a dangerous raging asshole and make childish threats to others. The sooner such laws are repealed, the easier it is to shame fools like this away…
“Police said that some of the people in the crowd were seen wielding pepper ball guns, taser-like weapons, shields, and rocks. There were also many folks who were wearing gas masks and helmets.”
You know what they called Germans who gave support to the Nazis but really didn’t ascribe to all their ideologies? Nazis.
Fascists also love white working class and play upon bigotry to get people to vote against their economic interests. Not recognizing that bigotry and discrimination are tools of keeping the working class down invalidates any kind of pretension of being “on the Left”.
When possible. But being inconsistent doesn’t make something bad.
“They are the type of people who focus on how liberals have neglected the working class to focus on “identity politics,””
The writing of the ABC reboot was terrible. It was way too “off” for the main characters Kermit, Piggy and Fozzie. Some jokes were a little too adult, lacked the essential “heart” of the original show and movies, and the tone was schizophrenic. The last 2 episodes showed it got better, but it was way too late.
On a side note, Rudolf Nureyev was on the show as a favor for ITC Producer Sir Lew Grade. In the first season they had to scramble to find hosts. Half the time, the inducement was an all expense paid trip to London.
Roger Moore was also a hilarious one in the same vein of “Lets skewer our public personas with Muppets”. I still remember his “Talk to the Animals” song with explosions and gunfire and I haven’t seen it in decades.
Came here for that. Plus the final song of that episode “Turn the World Around” was a literal showstopper. They just rolled the credits along the final chorus. Its a song and presentation which encapsulates the universal appeal of the Muppets. Probably the most “Jim Henson” moment of the entire show.
Times Like These is so earwormy.
Because he is such a nice guy, you just beg to sell your soul to him. Or just give it away in appreciation.
That kind of showmanship and appreciation of the audience is always endearing. Very few artists really have that level of humility/work ethic.
Then the Lynda Carter one is a good follow up.
Ideally, Brexit provides a well justified pretext for a united Ireland at this point.
The ABC show has one, and only one good episode. The one involving Dave Grohl. Gonzo gets his daredevil groove back to the tune of “Learning to Fly” and Animal and Grohl have a drum off (a callback to Animal v. Buddy Rich 30+ years before)
I for one welcome my amusing felt overlords.
Rule #1 unless you are Bill Cosby, anyone who has ever acted with Muppets is automatically cool
Flash Gordon has the advantage of:
