I’m interested that you see a connection between Trump and peace talks in Korea. These were initiated by South Korea. You might like to credit Trump’s bellicosity and threats to Kim, but you’re looking at it the wrong way. Kim wants a nuclear deterrent and to be taken seriously by the West. He’s got the nukes and now

An outback is no different than a CUV.

Do they say they “need more space”? Or do they just want it? Even if they do say they need it, they probably just mean they want it. Because face it, having more room makes it easier. Are they supposed to not get what they want because... why exactly? Because people don’t want the car market to shrink?

I find it highly suspect that anyone with 2 kids wouldn’t ever want something bigger than a Geo Metro.

Exactly. Too many so-called “enthusiast” on this site who have no idea what’s that like. Along with too many writers from Manhanttan who don’t even drive a car every day or need to giving the rest of the America their views on what cars everyone should buy.

Did you both have the now required car seats until 10+ years old?

I’ll put my dollar down that Erik does not have kids, does not have to haul a stroller, go bag, toys, etc around every day. Does he own a home and work on his own home? It is hysterical to see how far off of reality this site is. I love reading about the passionate car peoples. I am one of those peoples. But if you

Odd omission to the article:

Typical armchair response. It’s great car for what it’s designed for. You obviously have your biases and would never even consider driving one.

I find your lack of mentioning or explaining the Yoda in the background disturbing.

Not sure why the second truck driver responded as he did but I can’t fault the first one. He was going the same speed as other traffic and made the only evasive maneuver he could, with a bus in the lane beside him.

This is...dumb? I don’t have a dishwasher, and it’s just my wife and I (no kids), so we (I) wash dishes once a day (first thing in the morning) unless something egregious / smelly is in the sink. Soaking is a must for.. .most things? In reality you can soak for 5 minutes or 12 hours and it’s the same thing, but

For the most part, I agree, but... unless I scarf the whole bowl of oatmeal down and sprint to the sink, it needs a few minutes of being submerged before washing. Why knock yourself out scrubbing portland-cement-like-oatmeal from the bowl? We have the technology. We can get the oatmeal to release willingly.

Nonsense. It’s just that soaking them in the wrong thing is pointless. Regular dish soap is a surfactant. That basically means it makes bubbles and that makes things slippery. It’s good for grease and oils, but it separates in the water and doesn’t do much else. Dishwasher soap is different, especially the older

No baking dish with any degree of baked-on crud will benefit from “a minute or two” of soaking. Sorry, but the average lasagna dish is infinitely easier to clean after hours of soaking, whether or not you consider it an act of laziness or procrastination.

I thought this was a Subaru’s natural habitat:

I’ll take it

You, sir, have won recognition as a human being of moderate intelligence!

If I was going to be in the market for a sedan under 30 grand it would either be this or an Accord. There is nothing “meh” about either of them unless you are a weirdo like Torch...

Uh, you realize that all of these cars are easily distinguished by anyone with eyes?
