Whoa, I agree that Macklemore is corny but to say you have to be a community organizer rather than an incredibly popular pop star in order to be sincere is ridiculous.
I used to think that about heroin too but listen to Harris' You Made it Weird Podcast or one of the numerous stories that have been written by heroin users about their struggle. If often starts after people have been prescribed opiates in painkiller form after a surgery and develop a dependency. Once their body…
Highlights is fine. Freestyle 4 is probably the worst song he's ever released.
Kendrick's the first artist to make me think that there will be a time in the future when I don't consider Biggie to be the best rapper of all time. He's incredible.
Love all these examples. I agree this is a good discussion and I can't really argue with any of them too much, especially PE, Eric B and Rakim, and PP/Dilla. Wu-Tang would absolutely be number one for me but I can't really count them as one group anymore unless we want to strictly use Wu-Tang albums and leave out…
Why not though? At this point, Kanye has made 7 very good to great (and even if you want to argue with the quality you can't argue with the cultural impact) albums that go in a new direction every release. He may have the best standalone discography of any hip hop artist at this point. Why would a comparison to…
One correction: Pretty sure Future isn't on this album at all. That's GOOD Music's version of Future, Desiigner.
I think the release window is Sept - Aug so it's not calendar year like the Oscars are.
Holy shit those comments just made me feel like I need to take a shower.
Graduation, 808s, Watch the Throne, and especially Yeezus were all pretty short albums so 10 tracks wouldn't have been that unusual for him.
This is definitely a good and important album but I will never understand how this came to be THE defining 2Pac work to so many people. It has a ton of filler and misses for a "classic" album and pales in comparison to Me Against the World. Despite some classics it sounds incredibly dated now, especially compared to…
I agree. The irony is the people that are SO SURE that Avery is innocent sound so much like the people that were SO SURE Avery was guilty after the press conference following Brendan's confession.
I don't think the judge was referring to the rape case. He was probably referring to Steven Avery's other past charges (burglary, animal cruelty, assault).
I can't upvote this enough. I STILL hear people made snide remarks like "my coffee is hot, maybe I should sue for millions". The ignorance that surrounds that case is unbelievable.
Facts isn't good. But "even for Kanye" implies that most of his songs are terrible. That would be an inaccurate assessment.
Hmmm, I disagree that the cinematography doesn't add anything because I think it helps explain the ending.
I didn't mean to make it sound like I don't think there are real legit reasons to not be able to do jury duty. I definitely phrased that incorrectly. I was more referring to the idea that anyone who is smart will find a way to get out of jury duty. I know there are people who will intentionally try to get out of it…
Why are people so hell bent on getting out of jury duty besides being able to conform with the cliche that jury duty sucks? I was on a jury a few years ago and it was a really interesting and rewarding experience (it was a murder trial so it was obviously more interesting than most cases people are picked for).
Comment of the Year competition for 2016 is off to a hell of a start
