This review reads as better than a C+.  I actually had no interest in seeing it at all but the description makes it sounds kind of like the first half of I Am Legend which is intriguing.

I see what you mean about the scene lengths but then you have the Lucille smoking with Buster scene that went on entirely too long in all the right ways.

The deeper I got into this season the better it was.  It's pretty amazing how incredibly layered this season got and I imagine it will reward multiple viewings, possibly even more than the first few seasons.  I know Todd has to review based on watching it once but I have a feeling that the further we get from the

I feel like most of Kanye's song sound wayyyy better on repeated listens than the first time you hear them.  I remember thinking Runaway was horrible when he premiered it at the VMAs, by the time the album came out I loved it.

Pam wasn't in the position to use common sense?  Come on.  You're right, its a show, that doesn't mean we're not allowed to make real world assumptions on how the characters would behave or what they would know.  I would like to think Pam would do some research on sports marketing after learning that her husband just

@avclub-ee4fadf37efceab02df97947e8d240a6:disqus Well to your first point I think the fact that Athlead is a Sports Marketing (an industry with HUGE barriers to entry) firm started by guys with no insider experience should be a very real indication to a spouse that there's a high chance of failure.  I get your point

That's a fair point about her being afraid of his success.  I would argue with the Roy comment though.  Roy didn't want Pam to explore doing more with her art because the thought it was silly for her to have any ambition and frankly didn't care about what she wanted in life.  Her exploring her art would have had

To be fair to The Blair Witch Project the film really is just a victim of its own hype more than anything.  As a no budget ghost story its a pretty well done creepy movie.  As a genre redefining event of a film its a huge letdown.

I was hoping someone brought up Chronicle.  The trailers made it look like a silly teenage found footage movie.  But in reality it's one of the darker, more inventive found footage movies I've seen.

You're absolutely right.  People seem to forget that he was an initial partner and probably has a pretty good stake in that merger.  There's absolutely no indication that when he chose not to work for them full time that he sold his share.  I would imagine if he owns a decent percentage of a business he started with

So only people that have been commenting on The Office all season will be on this thread to "like" a comment? Even though this is sure to be one of the most visited threads in the history of The Office?  And people that do hit "Like" on that very well written, well thought out comment are practicing revisionist

That's fair. College Dropout probably was a stretch.

Just a point on your last word:  I agree that Take Care doesn't get the respect it deserves but I do feel that saying Drake is directly responsible for the singsong-rap craze kind of ignores the person who Drake was clearly trying to emulate: Kanye West.  While Drake really did complete that bridge it was definitely

Ha, weird how opposite our experiences were.  Maybe it had to do with expectations.

Certainly.  I'll definitely still be seeing this opening weekend, don't get me wrong, I was just a little disappointed.  Though I guess that can be the problem with watching something on my computer that's meant for an 80 foot screen.

I love Cuaron and was extremely excited about this movie but does this CGI look pretty bad to anyone else?  It was pretty distracting for me while watching this trailer.

I guess I'm not unique in this aspect at all but it's definitely Jaws. I remember watching it over and over and over again as a kid and I have just as much, if not more, respect for it now as I did then.  I started loving it for the shark and continue to love it for the USS Indianapolis and the relationship between
