Hitting your child as a form of punishment is lazy and irresponsible parenting... end of story.

Fuck!! I hate this new commenting system with an unbridled passion! I am SO close to just abandoning Jez entirely. The misogynistic and bullshit comments that are filtering through, the fact that it STIFLES conversation (contrary to what the people working for the site believe), and the ridiculous amount of…
Ok... some observations:
Agreed. There is something inherently weird about a child's crush on an adult becoming a real-life relationship. When I was a kid, I definitely crushed on some men. But to act out on that girl-crush as an adult seems somehow very, very wrong.
The Onion is all satire/fake/joke articles, right? If so... that is some excellent journalism by the guy who sourced it. Haha!
I presumed that "she idolized him as a LITTLE girl" emphasized how weird that was.
No kidding. When I first heard of their marriage, I predicted that it would be over in 5 years. I saw this coming a million miles away.
You laugh, but I think that's a genuine concern.

I am ashamed of my city... but kinda excited that you're talking about where I live!

Ugh!!

She is in a shitty place... she probably knows she did a lot of wrong things, and if she doesn't, there is likely something mentally…
The breast milk thing doesn't surprise me. People are fricken weird.
Haha! Well thanks for taking one for the team :)
Still not much of a viable punishment. If a parent calls and complains enough, the punishment is retracted. And besides, finding an alternative ride might be only a minor inconvenience for some parents, so they are a little miffed at first but not enough to do much about it. Or, it could prevent them from coming to…
Did you do it... what happened?!
Do you think as a single mother she would be able to make enough money that could afford the daycare, as well as the enormous amounts of food and other shit? My guess is, probably not. ESPECIALLY after all the media attention she has gotten... who is going to hire her?
