We bought my parents tickets to see her show in September when she’s in their town, so I’m glad to hear she still puts on a great show!

He didn’t rape her, he beat her? Is that what this means?

    That’s a nice dress.

YES!! I could understand if they took photos of the attack itself and turned them over to police to help catch and convict him (which I expect wouldn’t be necessary here because the train must have security cameras), but taking photos of a corpse? And posting them on the internet? There’s no reason for that, none.

What bothers me most about that (well, after the fact that that child died) was that they then claimed the chemo was what killed her, not the cancer! It’s a blatant lie that leads to other parents making the same mistake.

I read an interview with a legal expert before the sentencing who said it was extremely unlikely they’d get prison time at all, actually, so it was a surprise when they did.

That’s what I wonder about! They’re prosecuting the parents, great, but there were other adults who knew what was going on!

Actually before the sentence was handed down the CBC interviewed a legal expert who said it was extremely unlikely they’d get prison time at all.

The case you speak of is one of those rare few that make my opposition to the death penalty waver. They should be fed to starved dogs like Ramsay Bolton.

Those two little girls have grown up into real beauties.

Excellent point. Plus I love your username.

Does anyone else think he looks like Channing Tatum? Because I do and it’s really disturbing.

Whoa, I only clicked Publish once, Kinja is acting up!

Christopher Moore has written two hilarious revisions of Shakespearean plays, Fool (retelling of King Lear) and The Serpent of Venice (mash-up of The Merchant of Venice, Othello, and an Edgar Allan Poe story). I really REALLY hope he does Taming of the Shrew!

I’ve been seeing it reported in the news a lot. Some polls put the number of Sanders supporters who plan to vote for Trump if he loses at 25 to 33%. Personally I think those estimates are far too high, but there are definitely people who will switch from Sanders to Trump.

If it’s wrong to vote with your skin or genitals, then why have white men been doing exactly that for the entire history of our civilization?

I’m puzzled by this reported phenomenon of Sanders supporters who plan to vote for Trump if/when Sanders isn’t nominated.
