It creeped me out how, through FC, he “communicated” that he liked all the same music, literature etc that she liked. It seems she saw what she wanted to see.

I wonder what the stats are in countries where parental leave is more common. It’s a maximum of 52 weeks here, but only ~10% of men take leave. They take shorter leaves too, 13 weeks average for men vs. 31.5 weeks for women. However in Quebec, where there’s 5 weeks paid leave specifically for men, 80% take it.

I was surprised when I read this, then I thought about the men I know who have taken parental leave versus the ones who didn’t... Not all the men I know who had sons took parental leave, but of the ones who did, their babies were boys.
