My 2013 Veloster doesn’t have any of the nannies and I love it, I did upgrade the stock system to a double din carplay unit, Carplay/android audio is a must for me. Echoing someone else’s comment what was wrong with double din? My next (used) car will have to have carplay/aa built in or at least not cost $2k to

Glad you could get a ‘13! used supply is insanely tight atm. My mom wants a Highlander but under 2016, I guess the 8speed trans is complete junk so she won’t buy one over 2016.

Empire Strikes back is widely viewed as the best of the 9 movies, acting writing and directing was better (because lucas stepped back). But I respect your opinion :-)

yeah it had the nob/wheel thing but also in submenus touch screen.

I went looking at Mazda’s last weekend with my mom. I kind of liked the control interface on the console, took some getting used to, but I thought it was weird as it was also touch screen for some functions....

Right this seems kind of stupid and doesn’t fit the apple model, apple has never brought to market a product that hasn’t been for a consumer.  Then again the cult of apple and people who want full self driving are pretty much the same so maybe.  I’d prefer they do a drivers model first then introduce FSD.

friend of mine had the Cougar version of this (auto tho) in HS, I remember being jealous of it till he lost control in snow (Syracuse!) and I had to dig him out. Good memories, nice price (maybe 1k too rich).

Yeah that steering wheel killed it for me as well, I expected to see maybe some contrast stitching on the seats etc, but not the as you put it “boy racer” bits.

This is exactly what I was thinking lol

Love this content!  But where are the masks? I get the same reaction watching tv shows now lol

Side note are you bringing this back?  Looking back at the past posts it went dead over a year and a half ago.  I’m in, its like 2 helpings of Nice Price :-)

leave it to david for the silly entry. The tundra works, any subie wagon would also work, but be prepared for the 100k head gasket repair.

oh that makes more sense, I think a 3 or 5 series probably cost about that much in 1985

lol yeah great advertising, there is a great site that does pretty good write ups on cars like this... Ate Up With Motor

my understanding is GM didn’t design some of the fluid reservoirs correctly and they leaked in transport contributing to the rust issue vegas suffered from, also made dealer prep a real PITA.

Gulp, 17k in 1985? thats nuts!

It wasn’t in the “Nice Price” heading, but if you went to latest around 8am yesterday it was there.

I had a ‘87 sport truck, factory 4x4 I bought at auction in 1990 for $3500, so 6k is a hard ND for me lol.  I know times are different but I just can’t see it esp with that gaudy headliner!

I love my blue Veloster, its the reason I went out of my way to NJ to get it, over a bland white one on LI, which would have made the DMV stuff during covid much easier.

They featured this on barnfinds about a month ago.  Nice to see it didn’t sell lol, it does look like a saturn, but the saturn looked nicer, this thing is butt ugly!
