If you’re the enemy and actually get a glimpse of this thing coming, that’ll be the moment you know you fucked up.

No way in hell, my buddy just picked up an 05 E-Gear with 18K on it for $90K. I’d much rather spend the extra $15K and have a lower mileage cream puff. If $15K really matters that much at this particular stage of the game, a Gallardo or any other used supercar simply isnt for you.
Funny you say that, I’m actually considering doing the same exact thing. The GT3 aero on the 997 body is just perfect. It’s low and aggressive and the front lip is dirt cheap to replace. The way I see it, 400 HP can be achieved with bolt on mods and an ECU upgrade. If/when you outgrow that, strap a VF-Engineering…
Not going to happen, they were actually there once back 4-5 years ago.
Strap a supercharger or do a minor tune to that GT350R (of course that kills the whole NA philosophy) and it’ll make minced meat out of this ugly M4. (And ugly it is, the “normal” M4 looks so much better).
There. . . I fixed it :)
I’m going to have to disagree with you for the first time. I know this is huge for me, but I really do. First off the 4.2 V8 is notorious for carbon build up (as are all direct injection motors). There’s no telling if this engine is built to be totally reliable and I’m very well aware of Heffner as I have two friends…
“professional”
I agree. This is all totally subjective of course and then there are a gazillion variables. But $75K seems to be the sweet spot. I’d imagine there are all the following cars you can get for that price:
- 2012-2014 and even some 2015 GTR’s
- 2007-2009 Porsche 911 Turbos (my choice)
- C7 Z51 LT3 loaded coupe, C6 ZR1’s or a…
I like the way you think. But then again, I’m completely biased, I used to have a 500 HP MK3 Supra with 60-1 Turbonetics Turbo.
That’s like saying F1 drivers don’t make mistakes. They do and it usually costs millions. In this case it cost two decent fellas their lives. End of story. I met Paul Walker, he was as amazing off screen as he was on screen. A true gentleman, its sad the way died. I assure you though, this was driver error.
I had one. EVERY girl I had in that car absolutely loved it. It was also very hot and current at the time from 2004-2009 and had tasteful mods. Still, I think it was the driving experience that they liked more than anything. Hell, I kinda had to chase some girls away lol. I agree with the 350Z for sure.
You did, I drove the piss out of one, had it at 130 MPH several times and it is pretty loud. It sounds even better inside. I was convinced after driving it. It IS the future.
I respect your opinion as well. Your reply was just as respectable.
I can’t help but disagree, I’ve had the opportunity to drive both cars for a month at a time and i feel the Fiesta ST is a much better car in every regard.
Damn you!!! You might’ve just sold me lol.
2016 gains the HK system as standard. I’d just opt for the 19’s and I’m good to go. Couple that with ED and it makes it even more appealing.
Because: V-twin and termignoni :)
M3 starts at $63K, a well optioned model tops $70K easily. I’ve seen one optioned to damn near $90K. . . for a 3 series.
That’s because they’re douches. I do 75 MPH 45 minutes each way to work and still manage 46 MPG. It’s absurd that anyone should do 55 MPH on the freeway just to manage 50 MPG. 20 MPH faster for a difference of 4 MPG is trivial and I’d argue is safer to everyone around you on the freeway than going 20 MPH slower to…
