Be prepared to use your iPad/iPhone as a remote because the one that will ship with this receiver (and all other Pioneer A/V receivers) is a study in how NOT to design a remote. As in 'let's put tens of small buttons with illegible/multiple labels close together and make it really hard to use so we can cram every

Alaska Airlines has issued iPads to their pilots for company manuals etc. Aviation maps will be next once ok'd by the FAA. The maps are only for reference. The plane's autopilot really does most of the flying anyway.

This cover was shown in a prototype Apple product back in the Newton OS days (1994?) on a CD-ROM based document reader. The project proposal video showed two mechanics working on an aircraft consulting the device featuring this very same cover arrangement.

Wow - lame Giz post. The NYT article is similarly lame. No mention of the Chemex - Germany, or the AeroPress - USA, or the Clever Coffee Dripper - USA. All three will give you an awesome coffee experience, for less than the cost of a Rancilio Miss Silvia, and are not from Japan.

Hmm, Dec 7th, isn't that a day that will live in infamy? Interesting choice.

Interesting tech. I'd hate to be the person sent to investigate the positive signals.

Wrap a 6' length of bailing wire around the steel wool ball and then twirl it above your head in the dark. Very cool.

Mac artists should check out [www.artmatic.com] for one of the more interesting graphics programs out there.

Or - a keyfob/carabiner that had the bluetooth xmitter in it you would wear on your belt.

What no Calculon?
