You’d be surprised at how unconfined you’ll feel on one of these ships.  I took a cruise on Allure of the Seas a decade ago, and it was easy find things to do, and find places to be alone.  It helps if you like to eat, like I do.

You're confusing the meaning. This list of names is intended to be a joke rather than an actual proposed list of names.

“tired of industry players who try to use a safety argument to stop innovation.” {...} But it is how do they react under extreme pressure that leaves a lot of research.

Likely they can’t have a normal release hatch that opens from either side because the pressure is so high it would become a weak point and increase the risk for implosion. The ideal shape for deep submersibles is a sphere, so the pressure is distributed evenly on all sides, but a perfect sphere is impractical, so

I mean it’s done the dive before, so it was clearly capable of doing it. How the design held up after multiple 4000m dives is another matter, I suppose.

I don’t believe the 750 hp. But then I again I might.

Sure, but if it runs the full 24 hrs AND tops the entire GTE field, that would be an INSANE achievement for this team.

I thought the side profile was a little squished, but honestly, it’s not that different from the real deal.

Hmmm... that profile to me says “non-stretched Fiero in a F355 body kit.”

Did it come with your choice of a free pen, razor or cigarette lighter?

But that's in California. There's plenty of states that have sniffer tests but not visual inspections. You don't need OEM numbers to pass.

A few months ago in CT, a friend and I were driving by a lot and he nudged me to notice a Lancia Montecarlo (Scorpion) sitting in the back. I’d never seen one in the wild before and had to stop and take a look. I don’t remember the price, but if I had anywhere to park it, I might well have driven it home.

My truck. Double take to the point I bought it from the used lot at the local Toyota dealer. In Canada we never got the step-side Tundras. When a 2003 turned up here in 2010 I pulled the fastest u-turn of my life and went in. To that point I didn’t know they even existed.

Their sales figures are growing by double-digit percentages, so clearly people are still interested.

This one was good, but I personally thought the first two USA trips were more iconic. The bit about driving through Alabama with a car that says “HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT” ending with them getting attacked by a bunch of yokels should be taught in social studies classes.

I hate Apple but they still control the market narrative for what’s important in phones and personal computers. Shit they even convinced people to this day that their boneheaded “bump” hardware design was somehow a benefit instead of a compromise to create a solution no one asked for, and other companies started

So you’re telling me that a Lamborghini buyer should be happy knowing that their car is only going to be quicker around this track than a Civic for about a decade or so?  I suspect most would disagree.

It sounds insane that a FWD car with 300HP could beat a Gallardo, but that’s what modern suspensions and tires can do.

It wasn’t very successful, but it wasn’t not mediocre at all. It was actually a pretty good sports sedan if you go back and read the reviews of the time. It handled well, had RWD and an OHC V8 and could be had with a manual.

I don’t know where you are, but in NYC, the scofflaws ARE the police!
