I must have been on the same cruise as you.  The Med by cruise ship is a great way to see it.

The sit down restaurant dining s OK on ships, reasonable servings and some care in the food prep and presentation.  But yes, the main cafeteria is cafeteria food, a burger is a burger

There used to be a place up in Northern Ontario where car mfrs would do e tended winter test of new models a year or so before going to market, to debug cold weather problems.
