Fuel pickups are low enough to always take from the near the bottom anyway. My attitude is going low all the time helps keep the bottom quarter of the tank clean.

I sort of looked into a Lancia while in Algarve. Buy with credit card, drive to container port, find broker for a container shipment. Less-than-Load space might be around $2k to get to an East Coast port across the Atlantic. Drive to port, do customs paperwork and take it home.
