Designers have to push the envelope.  Lexus did it with their grille a few years ago and now they are “normal” as anything, unique and stylish.

When you’re tailgating someone in the left lane to get them to move over you need a big grille to fill their rear view mirror.

Sure the infamous ugliest car ever made that destroyed a brand, why not model after that?

It could just be the flicker is slower than the camera Shutter.  These new LED lights flash off and on, you can see in a viewfinder or on a phone screen but not visible to plain eye.

I’ll be a dissenter and say I actually like it, including the grille.  Sure it’s a refresh, retro but 2020s stylish without  a lot of goofy non-aero aero bits.

Machining a block of aluminum for a chassis? Weren’t they made from rivetted and glued Al sheet and foam? F1 cars in the 70s were hand made precision machines but the tech wasn’t really that far out there.  I think they went a little overboard here.
