Why do you block site fonts? If it is to save internet data usage, then yes, this would most certainly help.

Depends on your internet speeds. With a 1000+ fonts, it's unlikely you have more than 10% cached, so it cuts another server request. Also very useful for designers...

Caching will only between different websites if they are all using the same font hosted on Google's servers (CDN). If the website hosts the font themselves, the caching will only work for that site.

I agree. Having said that, it still amazes me the number of people that send in 3-4 pages of bumf filled with their experience as a shop assistant and the results of every single exam they have ever taken... Ironically, they are even quicker to dismiss.

If you speak fluently more than one (useful) language, I would still recommend stating it, even if it isn't directly relevant to the job. This is particularly true in Europe.

"Don't eat the dip... ... Oh, you made it yourself.... It's delicious..."

I think the point they're trying to get across is that the Desktop version of Chrome (ie for Windows) is not as suitable for touch-screens as the android version.

I had been using Splitwise for a while but never saw the feature. Is it new as part of the redesign?

Is there anything that allows for multiple currencies so I can settle foreign debts with my brother?

For the poor sods on 2.2 or earlier (like me!) and want the luxury of power toggles in your notifications, might I suggest 1Tap Quick Bar. It isn't amazing but it does the job and goes someway to making up for the fact that my phone is too old and unfit for purpose.

For the poor sods still on 2.2 or earlier (like me!) and want the luxury of power toggles in your notification bar, get 1Tap Quick Bar. It works well enough and goes some way to making up for the fact that my phone is painfully old/slow. Presumably there are equally suitable alternatives, but that's what I use and it

When is Google Now coming to Chrome? I know it's on its way, but does anyone know when?

As shown in the video, there is an icon in the taskbar that you can right click with the option to untick 'Restore on reboot'

Can you try a Google Reader style J/K system to jump from article to article on the homepage, because each story takes up a lot of room so it's a lot of scrolling to browse from one article to the next.

Isn't this what firefoxOS was meant to do?

I can understand the first point, though equally, it means that the click target is now larger. With regards the hover highlight, I think you may need to adjust your screen. It's light sure, but it shouldn't be at all difficult to see.

"The new menus only appear in Chrome for Windows, and only then in beta, dev, and Canary."

I don't know about anyone else, but I really like them, although maybe that's just because it's new and shiny*. Why do you hate them so?

But frozen grapes will cool it down too much...

But... but red wine shouldn't be served chilled?
