The most prominent atheist, Richard Dawkins, holds the view that 'there's probably no God'. The majority of other atheists agree with this stance. The majority of rational atheists are negative atheists as positive atheism is, to an extent, a belief.

Almost all of those definitions refer to either a 'lack of belief' or a 'disbelief' of a deity. This does not equate to 'believing' a deity does not exist but simply refusal of the belief that it does. Any definitions that claim atheism is in anyway a belief in and of itself have a tragic misunderstanding of atheism.

Actually no. It isn't the belief that there is no God, it is the reasoning given the evidence that other theories (non-deity related) are considerably more likely. If, however, evidence emerges proving beyond reasonable doubt the existence of God, atheists would be obliged to accept it.

As others have argued elsewhere in this thread, however, Communism (and other such political beliefs) should to an extent be classed as a belief system, ergo a religion. Atheism isn't 'the belief' in something like the Big Bang or evolution (they are merely accepted theories that we are willing to change if new

We still have a pint in the pub instead of a 'half litre' as the rest of Europe. We also still measure feet in barleycorns, horses in hands and people in feet. Yards are used in football but in name only—in reality it's strides of the referee.

Apparently, 'taking the piss' isn't a universal phrase! It basically means 'taking liberties'.

I really hope this is a joke!

Does anyone have any advice regarding changing motherboard in my desktop to one that supports USB 3.0, SATA 3 etc? Is it particularly easy, and how do I find the one that will fit all of my current components?

The very fact that they have pretty much survived intact from 100m years ago sort of proves that they didn't need to evolve particularly anyway.

I think you've misunderstood the point of 3D printing. It isn't meant to compete with high volume production in the far east, but for specialised, custom-built objects it's great. A great example featured by the BBC last week was a firm making artificial legs with 3D printers that were designed to individual client

Searching that term (because I have nothing better to do) actually comes up with my new favourite filler text generator: http://trollemipsum.appspot.com/?type=apple&length=screed

Looks just like the Android version, which is by no means a bad thing

I managed to haggle 30% off in a foreign language (in an upmarket clothes shop in a country where haggling isn't 'traditional' at all). Even if you aren't confident, you have nothing to lose trying, apart from maybe looking like a tight-fisted prick to some guy you'll never meet again.

Where I work, we have a CD as a back-up when the PC isn't working and no-one has an iPod with appropriate music.

Don't expect anything, discounts never come to Denmark! :(

The article is a little inaccurate, the study is all about satnav (and suchlike) displays
