Admittedly, that's a fair point, but if his life depends on a view-port that doesn't melt, the makers are going to opt for a material that doesn't melt at anything below 500°C.

Adding to what a couple of other people have said, hydrothermal vents in Marina's Trench are estimated to be ~300°C (572°F) though Wikipedia says normal vents range from 60°C to 464°C. Not quite 7000°C and CERTAINLY not high enough to melt even standard glass. That sort of voids point 4. #corrections

I hate to brag but they've been selling lottery tickets online for yonks on this side of the pond!

Even funner fact, they aren't called the 'mayans' but the 'mayas'...

UK—that may be the difference! Seriously, you guys are missing out, the Alt Gr is a massive time saver if you type in foreign languages regularly.

It's on 99% of fullsize keyboards but laptops always seem to miss out on the useful keys!

Up until about a fortnight ago, I used to print out the receipt of online purchases—the stupid thing was I never used them, and ended up chucking them out later. Other than that: work (being a student is cool)

Unfortunately, I agree!

I hate to be petty but the headline was frustrating me. It should be "besides selling it" as opposed to "besides sell it" as the preposition 'besides' can (or should!) only be followed by a gerund (eg selling), a noun or a pronoun. #corrections

That's true, however, if we (the West) expect Afghanistan to stand on its own two feet, should we not allow them to run their own criminal courts.

Should this guy really be tried in an American court though? He committed a civil crime in Afghanistan so should be tried by a local court. I hate this whole addiction the US has to needless and hypocritical extradition.

Please tell me this is sarcastic!

Alternatives would be a comma: "luxurious, possible thing"

It should be: "Luxurious thing possible"

Don't be stupid, that's just what THEY want you to believe!

I am the legal representative of the Oxford English Dictionary. The use of the words in your comment infringe on the OED's intellectual property... etcetera etcetera

Which monitor do you have? I'm looking at one of the touchscreen ones which may be quite useful!

That's a massive issue in France where a breast implant manufacturer, PIP, used industrial silicon in their implants that were then used in operations throughout Europe. DODGY!

It's the best looking of them all as well!
