In some other posts I’ve acknowledged that perhaps my statement was a little off. I was speaking a bit too generally, thinking that the translation should be the same without thinking through the fact that there can be many, many different ways to say the same thing even in the original language.

I took Latin back in high school. Translated a decent bit during that, and during the German I took in college.

I am no translation expert. I will bow to someone else’s greater expertise.
