Well, you have convinced me that I need to do a little waiting and seeing what he does from this point forward before judging him entirely. I didn’t realize Oklahoma/the conference was possibly contributing to the poor parts of his image.

I will admit that as a guy who does not watch all big 12 games I was not aware of that “tradition”. In this case, I will slightly back off my statement, in light of new evidence.

Perhaps it isn’t Baker that deserves the poor reputation, but Oklahoma for creating an environment that encourages poor/disrespectful

Didn’t the Jazz get what turned out to be the steal of the draft in Donovan Mitchell last year? Kuzma for the Lakers was an excellent pick too, but as far as production vs location in the draft, seems like maybe the Jazz front office deserves a little bit of benefit of the doubt.

How many players in history have you seen run to midfield as a visiting and plant their flag or some variant? I think the TO comparison is pretty apt. And I’m very glad my team didn’t get the opportunity to draft him, because there were rumors we may have had he fallen that far, so I’m thankful for the disaster that

Cowherd can be an asshat, but I find it hilarious that Mayfield gets annoyed at being called out for being a “look at me” player. It’s pretty clear he loves getting attention, which there’s nothing necessarily wrong with. Why not just own it?

I wouldn’t want the guy on my team, because I do think he’s an attitude

Federer is just fun to watch. Nadal is an excellent player, but watching him play a match is just not as fun as watching Federer play.

The parents are being detained until their criminal trial for illegal immigration. It is highly unlikely they can be reunited with them in 48 hours considering the parent is most likely still sitting in prison.

If I’m the Spurs, there’s no way I do this trade without getting Kuzma in return, and there’s no way I do this trade if they insist that Ball is part of it. Kuzma has the highest ceiling of any player they could get in return, and Ball is the most overrated player with the most off-court baggage they could get in

I think this is something yankees and midwesterners tell themselves to feel better.

Look where Trump won. It wasn’t just the south or he wouldn’t be president.

Colbert’s part is much better done than an average man could do. The average, not tone deaf person might be able to sing the melody without sounding dreadful, but singing harmony and not sounding terrible is significantly better than most people could do.

I think you are underestimating how bad, or at least not good,

The instant pot is still showing as 124.95 when I follow the link. Is there a promotion code or something to get the price down?

Edit: Nevermind, I see that I’m a day late looking at this page.

He probably did. Lebron had a bad night. It’s just that he’s playing at such a high level that he’s still really good.

I know this isn’t a popular take, seemingly, but Lebron played a bad game (for Lebron) tonight. If Lebron plays like this the Cavaliers have no chance to win the game. His jump shot was flat, his defensive intensity was lackluster even in the second half, and he made several bad decisions with passes.

Lebron joined a team that won 47 games the year before and got ousted in the 1st round of the playoffs, which subsequently jettisoned many of its parts to make room for him and Bosh.

It sounds like the driver gave them a state ID. So it wasn’t merely a matter of trying to get on base without any form of identification.

They’ve told you that, have they?

I genuinely think the Cavs have to start fast, and simultaneously have JR Smith and Kyle Korver or Kevin Love hit a few threes. It’s like the Cavs become a completely different ball club when someone other than Lebron makes a couple of early threes.

“...from other hockey people, like Nashville GM David Poile, who said “this is by far the best expansion team ever”? Or TSN analyst Dave Poulin, who said this team can contend for the playoffs right now? Or Frank Seravalli, whose gushing column anoints McPhee as the favorite for GM of the Year.”

I might agree that in a perfect world, the burden of proof shouldn’t fall on the victim. From a legal standpoint, however, that’s exactly who it falls on. And that’s probably for the best when it comes to an innocent man or woman being on trial.

Also, in this case the victim appears to be Reuben Foster, as according to

This Rockets team could beat the Warriors if they didn’t have KD. As could a number of other teams in the league. They might not be favored to do so because the warriors would still be very, very good. But they could lose.
